Don't Be Evil

A large earthquake occurs while you are at school. Your child is in a daycare two miles from the school where you teach. You have no contact with the daycare after the incident. You call several times and cannot get through. The school has tremendous damage with many injuries and your principal needs help organizing the students and assessing the damage. What do you do?

What kind of situation would you allow a student to avoid the rules of the AUP in your classroom? 

And no fair saying, "There is never a situation." The study of ethics would not exist if everything was that easy. Please defend your answer and feel free to comment on others but be nice!

Which makes more sense to your teaching style. A lab full of computers, one for every student once a week or four machines in the back of your room with access every day? Explain your thinking for everyone.

Would it ever be acceptable for a student to use a sock puppet when posting to your classroom wiki? Defend your answer.
